Website promotion is an important condition of successful existence and further development of a site. There is a great number of website promotion methods: search engine optimization (SEO), contextual and web banner advertising on the Internet, posting to topical forums and blogs, registration of websites in directories and rankings. Posting of site news to social bookmarking services and social networks is one more effective method of website promotion. However, to achieve noticeable effect you should post a lot of publications. Manual adding of links referring to the site news and their description is a monotonous and tiresome process. One of the most well-known bloggers in the Runet decided to help himself and other bloggers and SEO engineers with this difficult task and developed a program that automates the process of adding links to social bookmarking services. This software application is called WebBug Blogger Studio.
In the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet this program is called «Жукладочник» (transliterated as “Zhukladochnik”), but this name is very hard to pronounce for those who don't know Russian, therefore in English it can be called WebBug Blogger Studio, or simply WebBug. The author offers the users three versions of the product:
- WebBug Light: a light version of the software which is cheaper than the professional one, but at the same time less functional. This version is paid and costs 300 WMR (about 10 WMZ);
- WebBug PRO: a professional version. Its main advantage is automatic registration (CAPTCHA input is manual). Official release of this version of the application occurred on October 12, 2009. This version is also paid and costs 900 WMR (about 30 WMZ). If you have already bought WebBug Light, you needn't pay the full sum for WebBug PRO, you just have to pay the difference – 600 WMR (about 20 WMZ);
- WebBug PRO + Twidium: a special offer. You can buy two applications instead of one: WebBug PRO and Twidium (software for promotion of Twitter accounts) with 1 year license. You save 560 WMR (about 19 WMZ) by paying 1440 WMR instead of 2000.
To start working with WebBug software you should create user accounts at bookmarking websites, i.e. you should register (WebBug Light requires manual registration). Then you enter the registration data into the required fields, fill in the title of the piece of news, description, tags, URL, or specify the settings for the RSS channel from which the program will retrieve all required information. Then you should click on the Run button. It will take several minutes for WebBug software to post your piece of news on all websites that you have ticked off.
So what are the main features of WebBug?
Of course, different versions of the software have different functionality, but the main features of the program are the following:
- posting to 150 social bookmarking services;
- posting to Twitter;
- text randomization during posting;
- direct data reading from the RSS feed.
WebBug Blogger Studio was developed for Microsoft Windows operating system. To use it you will have to install .NET Framework on your computer if you haven't done it before.
