Quite often people confuse web marketing and digital marketing. What is the difference between these two notions?
Web marketing (also known as website promotion, web promotion, Internet marketing, e-marketing, online marketing) is the marketing of certain services, products or brands over the Internet. Web marketing also includes marketing done via wireless media and e-mail. The main methods of web promotion are search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing, banner and contextual advertising etc.
Digital marketing refers to the promotion of products, services and brands using all possible forms of digital advertising channels (television, radio, Internet, mobile and other digital media) in order to reach consumers.
Thus we can see that digital marketing is a wider notion that web marketing. Internet marketing is only a part of digital marketing. However, we should admit, that the effectiveness of online marketing is becoming higher and higher in comparison with other kinds of digital marketing.
